Senior ERPNext/ Frappe Solution Engineer

Position Summary 

We are seeking a highly capable Senior ERPNext / Frappe Solution Engineer to lead the implementation, configuration, customization, and continuous improvement of our enterprise platform built on the Frappe Framework and ERPNext. 

This role is primarily focused on translating business policies, procedures, and operational requirements into effective ERPNext configurations, workflows, controls, and business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders across multiple departments and regional operations to ensure that ERPNext becomes the central platform governing and automating business operations. 

While development skills are important, the primary focus of this role is business process implementation, solution design, workflow automation, and ERP governance. 

This is primarily an onsite position with occasional remote work flexibility. 

Key Responsibilities 

Business Process Analysis & ERP Design 

• Analyze existing business processes, policies, and procedures across departments. 

• Translate approved policies and procedures into ERPNext configurations, workflows, approval matrices, and system controls. 

• Design end-to-end operational processes within ERPNext. 

• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities. 

• Ensure consistency and standardization across business units and regions. 

ERPNext Implementation & Configuration 

• Lead implementation and configuration of ERPNext modules including: 

• Finance & Accounting 

• CRM & Sales 

• Procurement 

• Inventory & Warehousing 

• Human Resources & Payroll 

• Projects 

• Assets 

• Helpdesk and Service Management 

• Manufacturing (where applicable) 

• Configure: 

• Workflows 

• Roles and Permissions 

• Approval Chains 

• Notifications 

• Dashboards 

• Reports 

• Forms and Custom Fields 

• Manage system setup, testing, deployment, and user acceptance activities. 

Frappe Development & Customization 

• Develop custom applications and enhancements using the Frappe Framework. 

• Create custom DocTypes, Scripts, Reports, Dashboards, and Integrations. 

• Extend ERPNext functionality when business requirements cannot be achieved through configuration alone. 

• Maintain upgrade compatibility and system maintainability. 

Governance, Compliance & Controls 

• Implement business controls and approval structures. 

• Ensure ERP workflows comply with internal policies and governance requirements. 

• Support audit readiness through proper system design and traceability. 

• Assist in standardizing processes across multiple regions and business units. 

Integration & Automation 

• Integrate ERPNext with third-party systems and enterprise applications. 

• Develop and maintain APIs and data exchange processes. 

• Support workflow automation initiatives across departments. 

Stakeholder Engagement 

• Work directly with department heads and business teams. 

• Conduct workshops and requirements-gathering sessions. 

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. 

• Deliver training and support user adoption. 

Leadership & Knowledge Transfer 

• Act as the internal subject matter expert for ERPNext and Frappe. 

• Mentor junior engineers and implementation consultants as the team grows. 

• Establish implementation standards and best practices. 

• Contribute to long-term ERP strategy and roadmap planning. 

Required Qualifications 

• 5+ years of ERP implementation experience. 

• 3+ years of hands-on ERPNext and Frappe Framework experience. 

• Demonstrated experience implementing multiple ERPNext modules in production environments. 

• Strong understanding of enterprise business processes and operational workflows. 

• Experience translating policies and procedures into ERP system configurations. 

• Strong knowledge of:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in GCC and Levant business environments. 

• Knowledge of regional accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance requirements. 

• Experience leading ERP implementation projects. 

• Experience with cloud deployments, Docker, and DevOps practices.
